For years, the smile which is
made of wood, adorned an old barn that was
converted into a store along Interstate 94 in
Delafield Wisconsin. People knew of my home town
by that smiley face barn! The barn was purchased
by an "upscale" store selling Amish goods and they
painted the barn red and took down the smile. The
town was angry but the store said no, it couldn't
stay. So the Elegant Farmer store in Mukwonago
bought it and hung it on their store/barn and now
it's a big part of their advertising.
