Location:

At the Cabrillo National Monument. From San Diego Airport, head west on Harbor Drive to Rosecrans Street (Hwy 209) turn left on Rosecrans and follow the signs to Cabrillo National Monument. The lighthouse is high atop a bluff with a fantastic view of San Diego.

Notes:

This light was built in March of 1891. It sits a lot closer to ocean than the old lighthouse and the directions are pretty much the same for this one, except that the lighthouse and keeper's quarters are off limits to visitors.
