The Keeper's house, as seen above the Yerba
Buena Light, is the residence for the Coast Guard
Commander of the San Francisco District which has
oversight of bay area aids to navigation. The
administrative offices (Headquarters) are located
on the East side of Yerba Buena Island, just below
the residence.
