Built in 1976 by former lighthouse attendant and
noted historian Jim Gibbs. It takes its name from
the hymn by Fanny J. Crosby, "He Hideth My Soul in
the Cleft of the Rock", which is based on Exodus
33:22. The tower is a replica of the 1898 Fiddle
Reef Lighthouse. It is part of a privite home and
not open to the public, but can be viewed from a
pullout on the highway.
