Built c1910 by John Lengel, 24X30, 2.5, frame
mill.
|
|
|
The first mill was a stone/frame, oil mill built
before 1755 by John Binkley. Chopping was added in
1845. In 1883 it was a fulling / carding mill. In
1893 the old mill was purchased by Imperial Milling
Co. of Duluth, MN. and was moved to Chicago as an
exhibit for the World's Fair. In 1910 Lengel built
a new frame mill which stands today. It closed in
1940. Today it is used for storage. (Fair
condition )
