Built - c1800 by George Eckert, 40X80, 3.5,
stone/frame mill.
|
|
|
The first mill was operated by Sam Patterson in
1757-58. G. Eckert built a new mill c1800 and ran
it as Speedwell Forge. Later it was registered as
a grist mill, merchant mill and back to a grist
mill. Isreal Rohrer rebuilt the old mill in 1868.
Presently it is some type of shop. Condition - Very
good.
